We want to create a some sort of density and/or surfaces derived from a point feature layer that represents gas drilling locations. So the points themselves are binary features (i.e., without magnitude; they just represent drilling sites), but we don???t necessarily want the resulting surface to be a binary (drilling/non-drilling) surface. Ultimately, we want to test for possible correlations between drilling density and economic variables (e.g., income, poverty, unemployment).
Any suggestions as to what type of surface we could start create to kick-start this analysis?
