Can I use a netCDF of climate data in the emerging hot spot analysis tool?

I have numerous netCDF files of climate variables distributed over a study area and I was hoping to analyze that in ArcGIS.  However, if I try to use the data, the only way I can get it into GIS makes a raster with one band for every time point.  The Emerging Hot Spot Analysis tool could be very helpful, especially with its ability to generate slopes from a Mann-Kendall analysis of each time-series point.

Thanks for any assistance.

From the help topic did you see this reference and its links?

This tool can only accept netCDF files created by the Create Space Time Cube tool.

Hi Jonathan!

You can use the Make NetCDF Feature Layer tool to create points for input into the Create Space Time Cube tool.  When you point to your data, the X Variable and Y Variable will auto-populate, but be sure to pick lat, long and time in the Row Dimensions parameter.  This will create a unique point lat/long for each time period.  Also, you may need to use the Project tool as climate data is not typically projected and the Create Cube tool requires projected data.

Also, this post may also be useful.

Hope this was helpful!

I'm getting stuck at the project step, as I keep getting an error when I try to project.  Any suggestions for this seemingly basic problem?
