Hi,

For Cemetery data I have created  a relationship class between the feature class itself and a non-spatial table. I would like to query the data based on the NS-table attribute "Owner". If the Grave has an owner, than the field "Availability" in the attribute table of the feature should be filled in with the word "sold".

I would appreciate any thoughts, comments and suggestions.

Thanks for your help,

Doreen

Do your query on the non-spatial table then click the Related tables button and select your spatial table that will select all those related in the NS table to those in the spatial table then you could use Making simple field calculations—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop to calculate the field of the selected to "Sold". It is always best to use field calculator in edit mode so if you make a mistake you can undo or stop without saving edits
