Hello,
Our horizontal projection is WKID 6559 OR State Plane North FIPS 3601. We use the NGVD29 vertical datum. When selecting our horizontal projection, the only vertical datums offered are WGS84 and EGM96. How hard would it be to add NGVD29 to the list of vertical datum options in the output options within Site Scan Manager?
Thank you!
Hi @ChristopherRatcliff ,
NAD83(2011) / Oregon North (ft) EPSG: 6559 is a supported coordinate system in Site Scan Manager.
If you are using ground control points surveyed in NGVD29, set the vertical datum to EGM96. No vertical transformation will be applied and your results will effectively be in NGVD29.
We'll look at ways to improve this in the future, but there are currently technical limitations restricting Site Scan to these two options.
Regards,
Nico
Hi Nico, we would also like to see additional vertical datum support in Site Scan. We're using GDA94 / CKIG94 project grid (EPSG:6723) for a project here in Australia. The vertical datum is CKIHD (geoid EGM08). All ground survey is done using the EGM08 geoid. What is the best approach we can take to solve this. @NicoBonnafoux
Hi @islandpowerco,
Thanks for the input.
In the meantime, make sure to use Ground Control Points surveyed in EGM08, set them as EGM96 in Site Scan Manager, your outputs will effectively be in EGM08 as they'll be corrected to match your GCPs.
@ChristopherRatcliff @islandpowerco This has been implemented in v4.224.4. Site Scan now offers the vast majority of vertical coordinate systems that are supported in the Esri projection engine. Here is the blog with more details.
