Overview

Site Scan’s Fleet Management capabilities automatically record all the flights your organization performs with ArcGIS Flight, provides tools to import data from other sources, and allows you to manage your pilots, aircraft, batteries and associated documents. However, managing a drone fleet can remain a complex task, especially when dealing with different flight planning software. While Site Scan provides you a reliable system of record, in-depth analysis performed in other software may be necessary for internal reporting.

An easy way to export fleet data helps reduce the silos that may exist for organizations that also use different flight planning apps or capture fleet data in creative ways such as Survey123. Fleet management data can contain rich information about flight trends and usage statistics. Bringing fleet data into other software such as ArcGIS Dashboards or Microsoft Excel can help tailor analysis to the needs of your organization, helping reveal trends that may not be easily visible with the tools in Site Scan alone.

Export fleet management data

Fleet Managers can now choose to export the following fleet management entities as a .csv file:

  • Flights
  • Pilots
  • Aircraft
  • Batteries

For flights, you can specify date and attribute filters to narrow down which flights to export from your organization. For pilots, aircraft, and batteries, all entities will be exported. Each export file contains standard metadata fields that can be used for further analysis outside of Site Scan. Follow these instructions to export your fleet data.

  1. Log into Site Scan and open fleet management. You must be a Fleet Manager to export fleet data.
  2. Open the list page of what you want to export. For example, if you want to export flights, click Fleet Activity.
  3. If exporting flights, specify the date range you want to export flights for.
  4. If exporting flights, specify the Aircraft, Pilot, or Project you want to export flights for.

  5. When you are satisfied with the filter options, click the Export button at the top of the table. Screenshot 2024-06-05 at 10.45.00 AM.png

Within a few seconds, the .csv file will be available in the downloads folder.

Note: the export file will always contain the same metadata fields regardless of which columns you have chosen to show/hide in the list user interface.
