Python Script to "Export to Shapefile" a ArcSDE Geodatabase

I learned that if there's a tool to do something then you can write a Python script to perform that tool's function.
I cannot find a tool to "Export to Shapefile" the contents of a ArcSDE Geodatabase.
Has anyone done this before?

How do I set up my env.workspace to be a ArcSDE Geodatabase on a Database Server?  I've never done that before.
Attached is a scressnshot of my catalog tree.  bwef is the name of the ARCSDE Geodatabase.
