Hi,

I'm trying to add a digital signature to my python add-in. I'm using ArcDesktop 10.3, and the ESRISignAddIn.exe utility from the 'Python Add-In Wizard' download. After running the exe from the ArcDesktop bin folder i get the message that 'The add-in was signed successfully', however when I double-click the .esriaddin, the dialog gives the following warning 'WARNING: This Add-In file contains invalid digital signatures.'. The 'Source is trusted' check box is checked, but the 'Signature is valid' check box is not checked.

This is occurring immediately after I have run the utility so the file hasn't been modified.

Does anyone know what the issue is?

Thanks for your help!

This problem seems to still happen in ArcMap 10.4. I am trying to sign an add-in using the ESRISignAddin.exe utility, everything executes ok whn signing, but when installing the addin, a message saying 'invalid digital signature' appears in the installation utility. Any idea of what is the problem?
