I've some historical maps that I want to integrate in a spatiotemporal database. I've found a very good instruction here that explains just that: Creating a mosaic dataset containing raster data from multiple dates—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
I would now like to dynamically change the raster files that are displayed. The "time slider" would be ideal for this, yet this tool is not flexible enough for my purposes.
Is there a way I can define conditions dynamically (say, in the "footprint" layer) as to which layers are displayed / drawn in the layout view? Preferably with arcpy, since I have quite a lot of data.
