Increasing zoom level of BNG Vector Tile Packages

I am trying to publish several vector tile packages from ArcPro to ArcGIS Enterprise using the British National Grid tiling scheme however, this tiling scheme does not go to as lower scale as the WGS84 tiling scheme.

In the Vector Tile Package configuration, the BNG tiling scheme only goes up to Level 18 and a scale of 1:563, where as the the 'ArcGIS Online/Bing Maps/Google Maps' tiling scheme goes up to level 23 and a scale of 1:35.

Is there a way of altering the scale on the BNG tiling scheme or create a custom tiling scheme for BNG so that a user can zoom in further?

I am quite certain you can create a custom tiling scheme. You should be able to get a copy of the BNG scheme and modify it. Do some searching online and you should find an answer.

Hi @IsobelMcLees,

You can use the Generate Map Server Cache Tiling Scheme geoprocessing tool to create a custom tiling scheme XML file. There are also additional tiling scheme files which can be imported from C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\Resources\TilingSchemes.

Best,

Jonah

In addition to what @JonahLay  mentioned, keep in mind this requirement when creating your own tiling scheme: "Only tiling schemes with scales that double in progression through levels and have 512-by-512 tile size are supported."
