For those who couldn't make it this year, PhD candidate Irawan Asaad of The University of Auckland is pictured. His presentation challenged us to analyze the oceans' biodiversity hotspots with the goal of protecting these 'nurseries of the sea'. It was one of several presentations that showed how important our collective work is the the health of the planet mis-named "Earth".
