I have an arcgis desktop standard single use license with arcgis pro installer and i can't even figure out how to authorize arcgis pro? Does it need another license?

Hi Nicole,

ArcGIS Pro uses a named user license by default licensed through ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS, so you will need to convert your ArcGIS Pro license into a single use license in MyEsri.

I have clicked the link given to me via email and it made me sign up for an Esri Account. It needs "organization" and "token" and I tried to type in the numbers on the link but it says that the "token has already been accepted". I don't know what to do next. It really frustrates me.  How can I find the organization I belong in?

Nicole,

If you're still having a problem authorizing Pro, perhaps the following may shed a little light on your situation.  A purchase of ArcGIS Desktop Standard Single Use license comes with a Named User ArcGIS Pro Standard license by default, as mentioned by Alexandra.  You can start Pro using the named user license.  To do so, you will need to create an ArcGIS organization as instructed in the email you received.  You will then create a user in your organization and assign the ArcGIS Pro license to the user.  You can then install Pro and sign in with that user account.  The following link walks you through the steps to get started:

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/get-started/set-up-an-arcgis-online-organization.htm

Optionally, you can convert your Pro Named User license to a Pro Single Use license.  The following provides steps for that process:

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/get-started/convert-named-user-licenses-to-single-use.htm

If you have any issue with any of these steps, I highly recommend you contact our Technical Support team.  An analyst can walk you through the process if necessary.  Hope this helps.
