Close File?

As a new user, I've been wondering why there isn't a <close> option in the file menu?  Maybe there's a thread that already discusses this?  I've not found it.

The best answer ( which is really no answer ) is that it's just the way it is.

You remember getting those answers from your parents as a child and how well these were received...

I have always wondered why some programs don't have an exit option????  I suppose it is the "to each, their own"
