Hello Everyone,

My name is Ekpereamaka Juliet Ibenegbu, Co-President African Women in GIS(AWiGIS). I am a GIS Specialist, backend engineer, and surveyor, with a deep passion for leveraging geospatial technology to drive meaningful change.

My journey in GIS has been marked by active involvement in various initiatives, including my role with AWiGIS (African Women in GIS) and thriveGEO, where we focus on delivering independent, applicable, and skills-based training. I've also recently participated in several insightful webinars and discussions on topics like health equity in Africa, women in innovation, and the integration of geospatial technology in disaster management.

As a women’s rights advocate in GIS and tech, I am committed to advancing diversity and inclusion within our field. I am eager to collaborate, learn, and grow with all of you as we navigate the exciting opportunities and challenges ahead in the geospatial industry.

Looking forward to connecting and working with you all!

Best regards,
Ekpereamaka Juliet Ibenegbu
