Eric, new member & struggling when trying to learn Tasks through Field Maps App - Send Help Please!

My name is Eric and I’m currently working with park utilities (water, wastewater, electrical). I’m getting familiar with Field Maps and recently started learning the new Tasks feature. I’ve used Survey123 and ArcGIS Pro before, but I’m new to Field Maps Tasks and the configuration workflow.

Right now I am trying to set up tasks on a water utility feature (water valves) to support field crews with “identify, verify, and inspect” tasks. I enabled tasks on my feature layer and set up the task definitions, but I am struggling to understand how to properly configure the Field Worker task view in Field Maps app. The documentation hasn’t clicked for me yet.

Could anyone explain or point me to an example of how to:

  • Set up a field worker view for tasks

  • Ensure task assignments display correctly in the Field Maps mobile app

  • Follow best practices for task configuration on water utilities

Any help or guidance (even a simple step-by-step outline) would be really appreciated! Excited to learn more and contribute here.

Thank you!
