I am using ArcMap 10.6.1. I have 2 series of data: Raster and shapefiles. The raster files Cropland Data (from 2017 to 2022) were downloaded from CroplandCROS (usda.gov). The shapefiles are fields location data were collected from 2017 to 2023, using a phone Google Maps app.
I was able to create data point maps with these shapefiles but I cannot create buffers and overlay the shapefiles with the raster data from the USDA Cropland.
Both, raster and shapefiles are on the same geographic system coordinate. But when having them in different Arcmap window, raster data display Meters, while shapefiles data display Decimal Degrees.
How should I proceed to solve this issue?
Projected Coordinate System: WGS_1984_UTM_Zone_14N
Projection: Transverse_Mercator
False_Easting: 500000.00000000
False_Northing: 0.00000000
Central_Meridian: -99.00000000
Scale_Factor: 0.99960000
Latitude_Of_Origin: 0.00000000
Linear Unit: Meter
Geographic Coordinate System: GCS_WGS_1984
Datum: D_WGS_1984
Prime Meridian: Greenwich
Angular Unit: Degree
The raster is in a UTM projection. I suspect that the shapefile is in a geographic coordinate system which hasn't been defined. Can you confirm the coordinate system of the shapefiles? and if there is none, then use the Define Projection tool

to tell the file what it is and not what you want it to be. You can get it into a UTM projection after it is defined, using the
