I have a feature class of 30+ polylines (called sequences) that vary in length from 2,000' to 25,000'.  Can I set this up so that I have an index map showing the entire length of one sequence and individual pages that span the length of the sequence at a large (detailed) scale.  The image shown would be page one covering the start of the first polyline.  Page two would start at the edge of page one and so on until the entire polyline is covered.

Is this do-able?

Normally i do index sheets by zooming to the index layer and disabling data driven pages. I don't know of a way to create them as part of the data driven pages process.

David,

There is a geoprocessing tool in the Cartography toolbox called Strip Map Index Features and will create a series of polygons following a line that you can use with data driven pages.
