Hello,
I am a french student and I am new on this forum.
My question is the following:
I know it is possible that ArcGis places an ellipse that best fit with an object but i don't know how to do it?
My objects are elongated and oriented lakes and i would like to draw automatically this sort of ellipse around each of the lakes. Then, the orientation of major axis of each ellipse will give me the orientation of the related lake.
If you think there is another way for getting each lake orientation with ArcGis, please let me know it.
