I am attempting to use SDV 6.1 with ArcGIS 10.2.2 on a Windows 8.1 machine. Initially, after installing the tool on my machine and installing the add-in on ArcMap, I was able to run the tool with no problem. However, for a reason I am unable to troubleshoot, when I try to run SDV 6.1 now it immediately causes ArcMap to crash, thus shutting down the program.
I am aware of the system and software requirements for running SDV 6.1 and that it is "currently certified only for Windows 7 Professional x64 and ArcGIS 10.0 and 10.1, or Windows XP Professional and ArcGIS 10.0 and 10.1" (Download and Install Soil Data Viewer 6.1 | NRCS). However, I would like to know if any other users have reported a similar problem when using SDV or any of its predecessors with certified configurations and/or non-certified configurations. If so, has a solution or workaround been identified to remedy the issue?
