Of the many highlights in the 2018 Esri User Conference, one stood out for educators. During the Monday plenary, Esri President Jack Dangermond presented the "Making a Difference" award to two teachers from the heart of Los Angeles, the first time any teacher has won this award. The presentation included a short video which, coupled with their words, earned them a standing ovation and curtain call.
