Geospatial Semester Replication Guide

Are you a school, district, college or university looking for a way to integrate geospatial technologies into the K-12 classroom? Read about James Madison University's Geospatial Semester program-where high school students learn how to apply GIS to investigate and solve relevant, community based problems while earning college credit. In its 10th year and over 20 participating schools, the Geospatial Semester generates almost 2,000 dual enrollment credit hours annually. The replication guide aims to identify important elements of the program that have allowed it to be both successful and grow.

Please check out this short video how Loudoun County Public Schools have incorporated it across their division.

Please check out this link to read how Dr. Mike Charles at Pacific University in Oregon launched their own model of the Geospatial Semester.
