Mosaic Dataset - Is this expected behavior or bug?

When you have a mosaic dataset (MD) enabled for time (Derived MD with multiple Source MDs in it), is it normal for the mosaic method to not get set back to its default setting when time is turned off from the ribbon panel in ArcGIS Pro?

I have two behaviors going on. The MD I have has a default mosaic method of By Attribute - with the most current imagery set to display on top using a date field. It also has the ability to use Time and filter through the other source MDs in it.

When I enable time through the table of contents (TOC), the slider works correctly, and I can filter by year. However, if I use the ribbon to turn Time off, the MD does not display the most recent imagery on top 50% of the time and gets confused - showing all different years. The weird part is, if I open the properties pane through the TOC for the MD and turn off Time from there - the most recent imagery shows on top and follows the default setting I placed for the mosaic method.

Hopefully this makes sense! Any insight is appreciated.

Running ArcGIS Pro V 3.3.1

Thank you,

Jon
