Hello GIS friends,
I have NLCD raster data layer that I'm trying to merge some of its classes into a single class. I want to merge deciduous, mixed, evergreen and woody wetlands forests into a single group and call it forest. How can I achieve this? I also want to merge the various classes of developed, low intensity, developed, medium intensity and developed, high intensity into a single class and call it developed. The Reclass tool does not do the work because with the Reclass tool I loose the bands (red, blue and green). I need to have the bands in the final product.
There is a merge classes tool under classification tools in imagery tab, but that tool is asking for a new classification schema file and I do not have one. How can I create one? I have never done this before and if I can get some help that will be great.
