Grouping Raster Datasets?

My question is, can you 'group' raster datasets in a geodatabase? Much like you can group feature classes in feature datasets.

This is purely for organizational and ease of access reasons.

The Mosaic tool (or Mosaic to New Raster tool) is not what I require, because this is imagery that covers the same area.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use *.tif s in a theme specific folder within my project structure. (tif files are also recommended by esri for raster storage)

If they are to be used amongst various projects I use a main "data" folder within the path where I store all my projects to maintain the "relative" location of the data to any project I use.

I agree a good folder structure would work with TIFFs, but my question relates to specifically raster datasets.

I have the data in TIFFs already (it is how the imagery was delivered) but I have copied (using Copy to Raster tool) to a geodatabase because the geodatabase/raster data is the  recommended format (and I find it generally quicker when the data is drawn).

Tip:

TIFF is recommended for most applications.
