Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone out there has developed a high school GIS course. I'm wanting to propose an elective course focusing on GIS at my high school and I could use some guidance if there's anyone out there who has created something - formally or informally.
Thanks very much.
Information is out there. Here are 2 links to Blogs regarding education and GIS:
This contains contact information for teachers who wish to mentor or be mentored by other teachers. Probably a very good place to start.

Great stuff Jim, thank you so much.
There's a lot of great (and free) resources on the Learn ArcGIS website - especially the instructional guides towards the bottom of the page. Good luck!
Below is a link to the Esri Online Mapping Instructional Resources for schools. There are a variety of instructional resources that are available for download:

Jeb:
I teach a middle school GIS course as an elective. If you use Google Drive, I can share resources.
Please share with me.

Vicki would you mind sharing your middle school GIS syllabus with me as well? jabot@fredonia.edu
THANK YOU!!!
Hello Vicki,

Thank you again.
Vicki,
Can I pile on and ask for a copy, too? I'm looking for course description language, and the "hook" you might be using to describe it as an elective.
