We have ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6 on our server and now we would like to move to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1 onto new Server machines.

  1. How can all map services published to ArcGIS Server 10.6 previously can be transferred to new machines without recreating from starting?
  2. How can all Web maps created in Portal for ArcGIS can be moved to new machines without recreating from starting?
  3. How can Operation Dashboards can be moved to new machines without recreating from starting?

As from ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6 Operation Dashboards are web based is there any configurations file to export and import into new Operation Dashboards at 10.6.1?

We wrote a blog on migrating to new machines, but that's from one version to the same version:

Migrate to a new machine in ArcGIS Enterprise

In your case, it's a migration and an upgrade, which is difficult to complete easily. You have three options:

1) Go through the migration steps using 10.6 and then do an in-place upgrade

2) Stand up a new environment using the etc\hosts file to match URLs between your old environment and new environment, use the DR tool to migrate content to your new environment, and then upgrade your new environment. Finally, switch over when you are ready.

3) Use the Python API or other tools to migrate content between your 10.6 environment and your 10.6.1 environment.
