I just took a new role as GIS Coordinator in a small city.  Noone knows what my job is and there is no direction.  I'm new to GIS so I'm lacking that experience as well.  I've been reading articles about Strategy and how to create one for an organization.  Is there any way to get examples of other organizations GIS Strategy especially if they are from other small cities to help give me a framework on what we are looking to develop?

Small wins lead to relationships, which lead to developing champions, which lead to bigger opportunities, which lead to greater success. Good luck.

I'm certainly doing the small wins as much as possible.  That part is fun, making people happy 🙂

@DerekBernard I really hope we see you at the GIS Manager's Summit at UC!  There will be a handful of your peers from other local governments sharing their experience on stage, and we are expecting quite a few Esri customers from local government to attend.
