Gary Maguire is the Manager of Digital Engineering Applications at South Australian Power Networks, where he leads a high-performing team using digital design and GIS technologies to support the state's electricity infrastructure for over 1.7 million South Australians.
A recognised expert in geospatial sciences, Gary has driven digital transformation across both public and private sectors, including roles with the Government of South Australia and APA Group. He has led the development of innovative geospatial systems and modernised operations.
Gary has held key leadership roles such as Chair of the SA Government’s Data for Change group and President of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute. His contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including induction into the Esri Australia GIS Hall of Fame and the Special Achievement in GIS Award.
