Unable to create postgreSQL database connection in arcGIS pro - warning 000565 unable to connect to server

Hi, 

I have been trying to connect to a database in postgreSQL I have not been succesful because I think I am not getting the instance right or something. I have used localhost as the instance since postgreSQL was installed on my local computer. Forgive me if I am not getting the explanation right because I am a novice in this area. Any help navigating around this? Thank you.

Usually once you have the above correct, you should be able to make a connection.

What version of Pro and version of PostgreSQL are you using?
