Contribute to the Urban Observatory

The Urban Observatory wants to add your customer's cities to the compare app and to the Urban Systems collection of the Living Atlas. Many of your customers may be already contributing to the Community Basemaps. If they are, they would be great candidates for participating in the ongoing conversation about the largest things we build: cities. Please share the PDF with all of the cities you work with.

The Urban Observatory provides a framework for answering questions about cities through maps. Questions related to where people live, work, and play can be answered by comparative visual analysis.

I am a Cartographic Specialist for Esri's ArcGIS Content Team. I acquire, curate and recruit content for the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World through Community Maps. Prior to coming on board with Esri, I worked as a Production Cartographer and Product Manager for National Geographic Maps for 12 years. I have also worked for the Geohazards Division of the USGS at the National Earthquake Information Center and as a Geographer with local government.
