About This Position:
RRG NBS is looking for a Geospatial Data Science Analyst to join our team. In this position you will handle routine mapping requests and assist with analysis and data integration. We are looking for looking for highly motivated applicants with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to troubleshoot. Our offices are located in Los Angeles and Bakersfield, CA, however, remote/hybrid work is possible with this position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop, test and document complex geospatial AI models
- Design and maintain custom GIS tools for automation
- Acquire, organize, maintain and transform geospatial data from various sources, including SQL databases, shapefiles, KML, csv and APIs
- Maintaining and updating both proprietary and non-proprietary datasets (both geospatial and non-geospatial)
What We Are Looking For:

- Experience with ESRI Suite
- Intermediate experience in Python and R, specifically ArcPy and building tools in ArcGIS
- Experience in geostatistics, time series analysis, data mining and developing geospatial AI models
- Aptitude for problem-solving with strong attention to detail
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
Education and Experience
- Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geospatial Information Technologies, Environmental Engineering, Geography or a related field
- Masters Degree in listed fields preferred
- At least 2 years of professional experience in this specified field
- Experience with agriculture is a plus
The pay range for this role is $85k to $95k. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with the Firm’s internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
