Pay range: 90-110K

 

What you can offer us:

· Project Management expertise to develop and drive best practices for professional services engagements. 

· Subject matter expertise related to enterprise software implementations for GIS, field data collection, and asset management.

· Business domain expertise in gas and electric utilities, oil and gas pipelines, other linear asset industries.

Position Alignment:

     

1. Project   Delivery Driver: Leading & coordinating project teams (60%)

· Develop   and implement Project Management best practices that align with AI standards   within the CartoPac Enterprise Services group.

· Use   existing Project Management tools (waterfall and Agile/Scrum) to set up   projects, assign tasks, generate invoices, track work and report on status.

· Maintain project   schedules to provide visibility into capacity and resourcing.

· Help   maintain project Kanban boards and assist with backlog grooming.

· Lead CartoPac   Platform deployments in both our Azure Hosted and on-premise scenarios.

· Lead   solution design workshops to build requirements, use cases, and user stories   to deliver on project success criteria.

· Work with   customers to resolve issues in a way that benefits both parties.

· Facilitate   healthy meeting environments based on mutual respect & our values.

· Set   reasonable, clear & specific goals & hold the team accountable to   achieving them. 

· Participate   in meetings for purposes of scheduling and forecasting.

· Define   roles & responsibilities. 

· Participate   in SW Engineering meetings for purposes of ensuring support items have the   proper priority.

· Host and   guide “post mortem”/ “lessons learned” – make sure we learn & improve.

· Regularly   report project status to the business that includes & summarizes key   elements including overall progress, changes in scope, estimated completion,   key risks, and expected expenses.

 

      

2. Business Development: Identify and Capture New Business (20%)

· Build relationships with project team and   sponsors to champion CartoPac success and identify additional work.

· Work with Account Managers and Sales to develop   content for RFI’s and RFP’s.

· Develop Statements of Work.

Execute change management process on projects

 

       

3. Process Improvement, Automation, and Product Development (15%)

· Identify opportunities to create solution and   services products and lead efforts to develop.

· Champion and lead continuous improvements of   our processes, solutions, products, and utilities.

· Identify talent and skills gaps in team members   and provide mentorship to grow their value to the company.

· Support and teach others to help support   CartoPac extensions and GIS utilities.

 

      

4. Develop myself: get better all the time.  (5%)

· Look for training opportunities that help build   my skills and make me more valuable at work and at home. Discuss with my   manager, schedule, and ensure my responsibilities are covered when I’m out.

· Connect my job to the customer - understand   what our customers do and how my job impacts them.

Requirements

What you need to succeed: 

· 5+ years of experience managing programs or projects with budgets of greater than $500,000, and using various project management methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Scrum)

· 8+ years of experience with GIS, GPS, and data management.

· Understanding of and willingness to work in a servant-leader management model.

· Solid understanding of relational databases, enterprise integrations, and asset management.

· Experience deploying GIS solutions on an Esri Platform.

· Demonstrated experience developing and leading successful and happy teams.

· An entrepreneurial mindset seeking to grow professional services product offerings. 

· Willingness to take initiative, make commitments, and follow through on both.

· Professional demeanor and communication skills.

· Ability to build trusting relationships with customers and fellow employees.
