UCLA Facilities Management Information Technology is looking for a highly-motivated individual to join our team!

Under the direction of the Application Development Manager, the incumbent serves as lead developer and system administrator for the Facilities Management (FM) enterprise geographic information systems (GIS). The incumbent is responsible for developing and overseeing all levels of the multi-tier client-server GIS architecture, including Oracle database, middleware, ArcGIS Server, desktop, Web, and mobile applications. The incumbent designs and implements GIS multi-server architecture and also installs, configures, and maintains desktop client applications.

The incumbent serves as consultant and trainer for departments under Facilities Management as well as other GIS serviced departments utilizing GIS software: Police Department; Events & Transportation; Environment, Health & Safety; Design, Project Management & Operations; and Space Inventory Services. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring physical changes to the UCLA campus and maintaining the UCLA Campus Map, ensuring its accuracy, authoritativeness, and currency.

The incumbent provides various campus departments and services with customized maps illustrating features such as emergency evacuation zones, construction zones, emergency services, parking, special event venues etc. The incumbent is also responsible for developing and generating detailed, floor-by-floor graphical reports based on campus building data stored in the UCLA Space Inventory System. The incumbent acts as liaison to other UCLA departments contributing content to the UCLA Campus Map and facilitates the acquisition and quality control of all GIS data submitted. The incumbent collaborates and consults with other UCLA departments working with GIS and occasionally gives presentations and guest lectures in courses in the Geography Department and Department of Urban Planning at UCLA.

The incumbent also serves as a representative for FM Information Technology on relevant UCLA campus-wide committees, groups, and initiatives such as the UCLA Campus Web Publishers Group and UCLA Mobile Web Framework initiative. The incumbent coordinates and manages FMIT staff to support the overall Campus GIS initiatives.  

Salary range: $7,492 - $18.058 monthly, depending on skills and experience
