The City of Longmont is seeking to fill a GIS Technical Functional Analysts position. This position works within the Strategic Integration Department. The role of this position is to provide technical expertise for the development, enhancement, customization and support of the City of Longmont’s ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise system. Successful professional will help implement and maintain various technical components of the GIS at the enterprise, desktop application, and cloud-based level environments, including installation and upgrading, configuration, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting. This Analyst supports all city utility operations and programs including, water, wastewater, sewer, electrical distribution & fiber optic networks. It also supports programs for trash collection, composting, meter reading, emergency management, public safety, the city manager’s office, and many other agencies within Longmont. This position also has the responsibility to analyze complex processes, work in cooperation with subject matter experts, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions. In addition, this job performs a wide variety of technical work in data analysis, schema design, data reconciling and posting, programming, testing, installation, integration, and maintenance of existing legacy GIS applications and data sets, as well as ad hoc GIS work requests to meet organizational needs.
