Wadi Al-Mujinin Dam
Wadi Al-Mujinin Dam is an important embankment dam located south of the capital, Tripoli, completed in 1972 within the Western Mountains region. The dam is notable for its unique observation tower designed in the shape of a snake’s head, one of the most distinctive features of the site.
The dam primarily aims to provide water for agricultural activities and to control floods. It stretches 150 meters along the valley, with a height of 42 meters, and its reservoir holds approximately 58 million cubic meters of water.

Wadi Ghan Dam
Built in 1982 to supply water for agricultural areas, Wadi Ghan Dam is located north of the city of Gharyan, south of the Raqi’at area, within the Western Mountains region of Libya.

Wadi Kaam Dam
Wadi Kaam Dam is the largest embankment dam in Libya and one of the largest in the world. Its reservoir extends for several kilometers and holds more than 33 million cubic meters of fresh rainwater.
