I am trying to bring a BIM into GIS so that I can create various filters and search for assets via their asset ID.
I have a BIM that I have brought into GIS via the following workflow:
BIM File to Geodatabase - Make Building Layer - Create building filters and symbology
I have tried publishing to Enterprise 11.3 (on prem) share as web layer and share as web scene. Both of these options created issues:
- unusable layer names in the Scene Viewer both in the legend and the building explorer.
- I can also only set up the search function if I share as a web scene, which creates a hosted feature layer.
- I can't overwrite the scene if edits have been make in Pro.
I tried publishing with the Create Building Scene Layer Content (via .slpk), but that doesn't have any search function.
I also can't use the scene in any useful experience builder widgets, like search, chart, list.
Is it even possibly to have a BIM in Enterprise 11.3 that is usable at all?
