Using raster calculator with mosaic dataset

Hi,

Surely I'm missing something simple.  I'm working with Esri's new mosaic dataset format and am wondering how I can extract values below a certain theshold for a single band, like we used to do with the raster calculator.  I've looked at both the functions in the mosaic dataset as well as trying to get the mosaic into the raster calculator and neither is working well.  I've read through the help but am hoping that maybe I just missed something obvious?

I think you want to use the [make raster] tool with a SQL query and select a single band in the tool properties. You should be able to do this directly from the dataset. I'm only working with single band imagery right now but I have used the make raster tool to separate image bands, and SQL should allow you to limit the values.
