So, for the Map Document, is it CURRENT, or can Current be used when setting the MapDoc parameter.  The help is pretty clear that its CURRENT, but I can type 'Current', so perhaps its in caps to hightlight the value, thoughts...

It's case insensitive. Convention here uses all-caps "CURRENT".
