Hopefully this is the right forum for this question. I am looking for help with an error code 999999 recieved while trying to use the near tool in ArcInfo. Here is the script:
Error code 999999: Error executing function. No current record. Failed to execute (near).
I am trying to measure the distances from points in a point layer (about 52 points) to a polyline layer (roads). I also would like to run this tool with another polyline layer.
I have checked and repaired geometry for all the feature classes involved. I have also removed all null values. I've also tried running the near tool with a limited radius, but still get the error code.
I am running ArcDesktop 9.3 on Windows Vista. All of my data is in a personal geodatabase. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
