Hi, I have been looking for a way to create standard geodatabase annotation and implement that into a model.

Honestly, I just want the window that pops up when you right click on a geodatabase and click "New" > "Feature Class..." I am then able to change the feature class "Type" to annotation.

The "Create Feature Class" GPTool only lets you create a point, multipoint, polygon or polyline.

Does anyone know of a script or tool out there?

Many thanks, Ashley

I submitted an enhancement request that requests that annotation be added to the choices in the Create Feature Class GPTool.

This is what ESRI said:
The capability you requested is currently an open enhancement request (#NIM039982) in our defect tracking system:
[#NIM039982  Add Annotation as a Geometry Type option on the Create Feature Class dialog]

The title of the enhancement doesn't accurately reflect the content; it is a request for this capability in a geoprocessing tool so it can be used in Model Builder and other automation sequences. Thank you for adding your voice to this feature request. It will be evaluated by the product teams for implementation in a future release.

I'd like this functionality as well. Creating Annotations on a Feature Class after the map has been created using arcpy.
