We are concerned with the following problem: We have a point shape and want to create buffer-zones around this points. The resulting buffer-zones are not allowed to overlap each other. They are intended to like a kind of an ameba. We do need that in order to calculate theoretical "catchment areas" in dependency of agricultural cultivation around existing biogas plant.
Is there any possibility to realize this?
We have thought of Thiessen-Polygons - but there purpose is different.
Why are Thiessen polygons not adapted to what you want to do? Do you need non-overlapping buffers that are disks around the plants (which would generate gaps between your buffers) ?
