I have created a tool using ModelBuilder which I am trying to use within my ArcGIS Server web map application. My ArcMap project consists of several image footprints (.shp) which I would like the user to be able to draw a customized aoi or input coordinates (for a single point) and select the footprints that intersect with that aoi or point. My tool works perfectly fine within ArcMap; I'm able to select any layer that is in my table of contents (one layer at a time).
When I bring this tool into my web map application, I am no longer able to input coordinates, nor am I able to choose layers within my table of contents. Is it possible to use this tool in my ArcGIS Server web map application without having a predefined layer on which it works? Essentially, allow the user to interactively select which layer it wants to "select by location"?
