Dear all,

Please help me with this error : Underlying dbms error ora-00001 unique constraint (RETEAD.BT_NODIRIGIDI_PK) violated .

I work with ArcMap 10.8 with other users. When starting editing, each user creates their own version, which reconciles with the default when finished. For several months, we've been receiving the attached error when we save edits, after which reconciliation and start editing are blocked. The only solution the vendor offers is to delete the version, losing all the drawings. But redoing it no longer causes the error, which seems random. Compressing the database doesn't fix it. But the problem is gradually increasing. We've noticed that it always happens when drawing the objects indicated in the error (rigid nodes).

You may want to look at the following tools to see if they report any issues:

https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/tools/data-management-toolbox/diagnose-version-metadata....

https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/tools/data-management-toolbox/diagnose-version-tables.ht...

These tools must be run as the Geodatabase Administrator (i.e., SDE user).

If you find an issue, you can run the repair tools, as appropriate. ALWAYS create a full and VERIFIED backup before running the repair tools listed above.

I also would like to mention that ArcMap is retired as of March 1, 2026, so the support for this may be limited. I would recommend looking into moving to ArcGIS Pro (supported version) in the near future.
