What tools do you recommend to monitor an SDE SQL Server database that gets locked and it does not allow to open any connection using ArcCatalog.
We are using this link to check the locks, but we wil like to monitor the database to prevent these locks:

Great question, Jose. I don't have a specific tool to recommend, but I'd like to help narrow it down. What are you hoping to monitor? Is it to find who is locking the database? Or just to be notified when is becomes locked?

Is there a way to get both? Get notified when SDE gets locked and also what process or workstation locked it.
