I have a single large map with a Measured Grid for use in street locating; is there a way to transfer the Measured grid coordinates (A-Z, 1-26) to a featureclass attribute? I'm not talking map-book but rather one large map which will have an accompanying page with streets and their location by measured grid

If you have an advanced license, you can simulate this grid using Grid Index Features—Help | ArcGIS Desktop which provide grid with same labels as measured grids in layout. Just define origin point well and number of row and number of columns or height and width .Then you will get cc grid.
