What's the difference between a mobile geodatabase vs. a SQLite ST_Geometry database? (other than the file extension?
Hi Bud,
As far as I know, with respect to offline editing; as soon as we download offline map, it creates a two way replica and a version along with a mobile geodatabase.
A notable difference can be mobile geodatabases are used in offline editing while databases with ".sqlite" extensions are not.
You can store spatial information in an SQLite database using the Esri ST_Geometry spatial data type, SpatiaLite, or use the OGC GeoPackage spatial storage format. However, I believe we cannot use the Geopackages spatial storage format with a mobile geodatabase.
Please feel free to share more information. I would like to read more on this.
