Hi,

Copy features tool is failing when we are trying to copy any feature class from Enterprise geodatabase to file geodatabase. It is working when we are copying features class from file geodatabase to file geodatabase.

ArcGIS Desktop vesrion -10.3.1

Oracle version - 11.2.0.4

Can anyone help on this issue?

TIA

  • What errors do you get? Screenshot of the error message?
  • Is it happening on any machine? With any user? With any random data?

Hi,

We are getting error code 9999. When we check the log file it says the feature does not exist. Feature Class to Feature Class is also giving the same error.

screen shots of the dialog....

make sure you navigate to the featureclass in the dialog and don't type in the name, if you can navigate to the location, then it will show up if it exists.

If the tools doesn't work with other featureclasses as well, then the issues are larger and will need to be investigated by tech support

The tool is working in 32 bit system but not working in 64 bit system.

ArcGIS Desktop version - 10.3.1

Enterprise Geodatabase version - 10.2.2

No 64 bit background geoprocessing

The tool works with ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.2 in both systems

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Here are the requirements for 10.3.1 version:

I am thinking you may need a patch to make the 64-bit version work.

Finally we have figured out the root cause. 64 bit background processor is installed but there is no 64 bit Oracle client in the system. After disabling the 64 bit background processor Copy tool is working fine.
