Attaching sql express database

Hello,

I am using ArcGIS 10.4. I am trying to attach sql express .mdf file in sql express database server. When I right click on sql database server in ArcCatalog I am not getting attach option. Earlier I used to attach in ArcMap 10.2.2.

Kindly see the attachment;

I tried using both sql server 2008 and 2012, but got the same result.

Hi Ajit,

SQL Server 2012 SP1 is the minimum requirement for ArcGIS 10.4. Check the link for more details.

Most likely a Permission issue. As you don't seem to get even the "Create Geodatabase" option..
