What is a blueprint survey?

A blueprint survey is an important part of the exam development process. It describes an exam’s “minimally qualified candidate” and includes an extensive list of specific knowledge that this candidate should have and the ArcGIS tasks they should be able to perform. Just as important, the blueprint survey lists the skills and knowledge that the minimally qualified candidate should not be expected to have.

This survey gives you the opportunity to have your voice heard by allowing you to review the exam's blueprint and validate that the objectives align with the minimally qualified candidate. Learn more about blueprint surveys here.

How to Participate

  1. Carefully review the exam information guide to assess whether your current knowledge and skills align with the exam content to meet the criteria of "minimally qualified candidate."
  2. Review blueprint survey frequently asked questions.
  3. If you decide to participate in the blueprint survey, let us know you’re participating by clicking “Yes" under the "Will you be attending" section here on this page. Optionally, add the blueprint survey time period to your calendar.
  4. If you clicked "Yes" to attend, you will receive an email reminder to participate on the day the survey opens and be sent the survey link.

You should disable "purchase" button in the exams page or make it clear that this certificate is not yet available and is only being tested. It also says "Published date: July 2024". It's confusing and looks like a mistake.

Thanks for your feedback and apologies for the confusion. The exam page is in the process of being updated. The Purchase button displays on all exam pages because certification exam vouchers may be purchased at any time and may be redeemed for any available exam.
