Hey everyone,

I'm a new member of Esri YPN and wanted to introduce myself and say hello! I am a Michigander who loves exploring the outdoors and kayaking in my free time. Professionally, I began working for state and municipal government during my undergrad and for the first two years of my career, then recently I have transitioned to the private sector working for an engineering firm.

One of my big goals this year is to become a total whiz with web experiences and story maps. I've seen some absolutely beautiful examples, and am looking forward to continuing to make some magic myself. I've been all over the Esri galleries, but if you have come across any other stellar examples, or any really cool videos showing examples of creative functionality or general wizardry, please send them my way!

Looking forward to making some new friends in this space!

Hello, Kara, and welcome to Esri YPN!

Michelle, here, from the StoryMaps team. Always excited when I hear StoryMaps and wizardry together.

Of course, John Nelson, near you in Michigan, crafts magical maps and stories that inspire us all. To guide us along, he created a video all about map choreography in ArcGIS StoryMaps with sample stories and a link to this popular blog post about the same topic. To me, map choreography is a simple yet impactful way to make your stories shine.

Beyond map choreography, you've no doubt found the ArcGIS StoryMaps gallery with new samples rotated in regularly. I recommend that you also check out our new e-magazine, StoryScape, with themed monthly issues featuring some of the best stories out there. And always, reach out with questions or feedback for product enhancements.

Happy storytelling, Michelle
