The Introduction to ArcGIS Workflow Manager (Classic) training is a two-day course focused on the ArcGIS for Workflow Manager extension. Students will learn how to use and implement ArcGIS Workflow Manager. ArcGIS Workflow Manager is a scalable enterprise workflow management system that automates and simplifies many aspects of performing and managing repeatable GIS and non-GIS work within an organization.   • List tasks to be done
  • List people/resources available
  • Find who is responsible for each task & assign
  • Whiteboard the tasks in order with arrows depicting flows
  • Create workflow diagram to visualize & share
    • Update from shared feedback if necessary, share again and repeat this update cycle until approved
  • Create WMX repository
    • Create users, groups and assign privileges
    • Create your steps
    • Create new workflow with steps connected with paths
    • Associate workflow with Job Type
    • Create a job for testing
      • Test job
    • Update if necessary, retest and repeat this update cycle until approved
  • Train everyone on the new Jobtype/Workflow
  • Deploy the new workflow to Production
